About the workshop

This workshop is for anyone with no experience using flags or those looking to get a refresher on flag basics. The workshop will be 3 hours long with short breaks and Q&A.  Below is an example of what you can expect:

 

• Significance and use of worship flags, color meaning, types of flags
• Stretch & Warm-up
• How to hold flags, poses, movements
• Learn dance choreography with flags

 

Who should attend? 

Anyone that is interested in learning how to incorporate flags into worship – for public ministry or personal worship. You do not need to have dance experience, but you should be physically able to participate in class.

Workshop is open to participants age 13 and up. Youth participants must have an adult on site during workshop. 

 

How to prepare?

Workshop participants will be provided with a set of flags to use for the entire class. However, if you want to purchase your own, you may visit our flag sponsor Flags for Faith – for 20% off, use ARISE20 at checkout. Order early to ensure they arrive in time. Dress in clothing and shoes that are comfortable and easy to move in.  Dance clothing can be worn, but it is not required.  Please consider dance shoes, socks or bare feet. Please bring your Bible, notebook, pen and water bottle.
